Better weather reports in the pipeline
PETALING JAYA: The Information Ministry will work with the Meteorological Services Department to bring up-to-date weather reports to the public amid the prevailing north-east monsoons.
Deputy Information Minister Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai said RTM's news division had been instructed to include weather as a segment in all news broadcast.
We are asking a special section in the ministry to work with the Meteorological Services Department so that we can get the latest information for broadcast via RTM, he said yesterday after opening the Bowl Towards a Better Tomorrow charity bowling contest in aid of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman at Sunway Pyramid Mega Lanes here.
The contest, organised by the Segambut MCA Youth, raised RM50,000 for the university fund, of which RM15,000 was sponsored by I-Linkage Sdn Bhd, a multi-level marketing company.
