Prof Lim: Won two prestigious book awards.

Jointly organised by the Lincoln Resource Centre and the Asian Centre for Media Studies, the lecture will be held at Menara Star, here, starting at 10am.
The Malacca-born writer was a winner of the prestigious Commonwealth Poetry Prize for her book Crossing the Peninsula in 1980 and the American Book Award in 1997.
Prof Lim received her early education in Malacca before entering University of Malaya, where she graduated with a First Class Honours in English.
She is currently attached to the University of California.
