PM to visit Education Ministry
PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will visit the Education Ministry on Monday to discuss the ministrys plans.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein announced this in a press statement yesterday.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will be briefed by the ministry secretary-general Datuk Ambrin Buang on the ministrys plans for the next five years, with specific focus on the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
Education director-general Datuk Dr Ahamad Sipon will present the efforts of the ministry to strengthen national schools, while his deputy for schools Datuk Kusaini Hasbullah will touch on efforts to raise the prestige of the teaching profession.
Abdullah will also open the Education Ministrys Customer Service Centre.
I hope the Prime Ministers visit will inject fresh enthusiasm in all ministry staff to give their best service to the public in the field of education, Hishammuddin said.
