Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung to kick off world tour in Las Vegas
HONG KONG (AP) - Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung will perform two shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in February, kicking off a world tour that will take him to the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and China.
Cheung, one of Chinese pop star's "Four Heavenly Kings'' in the 1990s, is known for his ballads.
Cheung will perform at Caesars Palace on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19 _ the first two days of the Chinese New Year.
Highlighting the global reach of Chinese pop music, other stops on "The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour'' include Atlantic City, Toronto, Auckland, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Cheung will also tour 23 cities in mainland China.-AP
